The head of the Board of OJSC Murovani Kurilivtsy Mineral Water Factory "Regina" Il'ya Kaglyak invites to go on an excursion over the factory.- The only thing that is left from the former factory is ancient natural mineral water from the spring "Regina". Everything else is new, up-to-date and meeting the 21st century standards, Il'ya Maksimovich says.
Everything here is in line with new technologies - beginning from weatherproof doors and windows and comfortable workmen's rooms to the filling line. The today's owners have gone to high but reasonable expenses. In this department, with the assistance of foreign specialists, a new filling line purchased from a well-known Austrian company Kosme was installed.
All this is for the purpose that consumers could obtain a sufficient amount and adequate natural chemical composition of the mineral water from the spring "Regina".
In 2007, captations were built (special insulated engineering constructions for collecting mineral water) for springs No.2 and No.3, from which the water flows by gravity into a closed reservoir of spring No. 1. The most wonderful thing is that on all its way to the filling line the water is not disturbed and troubled with pumps. From collecting reservoirs of the spring the water itself fills vertical reservoirs, and runs 7 kilometres through a pipeline of stainless steel to the factory. Then it gathers in 4 enamel reservoirs and again flows by gravity to the filling line. The water passes through mehanical filters, which keep the smallest grains of sand and the like, then it goes further - through transparent vessels - through bactericidal process units, where it is processed with ultraviolet rays. No chemicals are used, though at many other plants water is purified by chemicals, which of course change its natural formula.
We obligatory check up the quality of the water in the factory laboratories, send it for examination to relevant institutes, technology supervision bodies and other independent organizations. There are strict rules at our factory! On a regular basis the water undergoes so called re-certification - the quality certificate is given only for two years. Every month independent experts come to us and check up the water for the "enteric group". All factory workers undergo an obligatory medical examination. No complaints have ever been made.
We do not use artificial mineralization - we bottle only the water in its primeval state.
The new automatic filling line is made in that way that human's hand does not touch either the water, or bottles. Operators only have to watch that there should be no faults and according to the production plan shift the units to production of carbonated water or non-carbonated into vessels of various volume.
In the same department bottles for filling are blown. So, all these talks that during production waste bottles can be used arise from the lack of knowledge. This is impossible due to technological reasons. For bottle blowing we get special moulds-flasks made of a material certified for food contact. In a special device, included into the filling line, under the forty atmosphere pressure original bottles of the necessary volume are blown. And again, without a man's touch, still warm bottles go to a washing unit, and from there - to the filling line and are automatically closed by sterile caps.
All the products go through rejection: underfilled and overfilled bottles are automatically put away and sent to rejects. The automaton labels the bottles, wraps them with film which is at once sealed, and finished products are conveyed to the storehouse.
That is all.
It may seem simple. Though, actually, one should bend every effort and use the most advanced methods to keep and deliver to the customer the mineral water created by the nature.
I can only add that the bottles into which the water will be poured are produced in exceptionally sterile conditions. This is also under close control. And the springs, out of which the water flows out to the surface, are insulated from the environment and are guarded.
We drink our mineral water ourselves, prepare food on it and everything goes right.
